Nathaniel is from Sharon, CT, and attended the nearby Hotchkiss School. At Princeton University, he studied molecular biology and completed a computational senior thesis on the Last Universal Common Ancestor under Dr. Laura Landweber. He also competed on the Princeton Lightweight Men’s Crew Team for four years. After Princeton, he spent four years in graduate biology at Columbia University. Nathaniel worked under Dr. Ruben Gonzalez on single molecule studies of the bacterial ribosome, earning an MA and MPhil in biology. In the summer of 2017, Nathaniel taught high school genetics for the Oxbridge program’s New York City branch.
Nate will be teaching introductory chemistry and the research course at Trinity Pawling, and living in Cluett III CE. His interests include cycling, hiking, fiction, modern history, cooking, and video games.
