B.A., Philosophy, Boston College 1986
A 1986 graduate of Boston College, Michele came to Trinity-Pawling with ten years’ experience in independent education. After spending her first 5 years at T-P serving as Associate Director of Admission, she returned to the classroom in the Mathematics Department. Michele and her family live in Cluett with their Golden Retriever, Calli. Michele founded the Gourmet Cheese of the Month Club, volunteers with our students at the Brewster Homeless Shelter, has taken T-P boys to Guatemala with From Houses to Homes and is active in the Senior Leadership Process. She and her husband Chris are organic gardeners and beekeepers. In addition to caring for the gardens around campus, Chris is an active member of the Western Connecticut Football Officials’ Association and Connecticut Lacrosse Officials’ Association. Their daughter Megan, Canterbury ’10, is a graduate of SUNY Morrisville with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business; their son Michael, Canterbury ’09, graduated from St. Michael’s College with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and is continuing his graduate studies while teaching at St. Michael’s College.
When not in Cluett, the Carlins can be found gardening around campus, riding their bikes through the Village, kayaking in the Great Swamp or hiking the Appalachian Trail.
