Avoiding Plagiarism

T-P's Honor Code specifies that every student will do his own work :

"My efforts, preparations, and presentation are at all times honest."

Not following the code can bring serious consequences, not unlike those at colleges and universities.

Here is a tutorial from the Paul Robeson Library at Rutgers University about plagiarism. Follow the tutorial through many examples of the proper citation process - we use the MLA format, so when they mention footnotes, just remember we use what are called Parenthetical Citations, but the idea is the same.
