Library
The Gardiner Library features an on-line catalog system,
access to the Internet, and research databases including
Gale Infotrac and Student Research Center Gold, and
Proquest Platinum as well as the New York Times Full Text and Historical (1851-present). The
Library houses nearly 20,000 books, and is open 60 hours each week with staff
assistance to find "just the right" book or source. Students are invited to
study, perform research, or choose from among the many popular books and
magazines available for leisure reading. Access is also available to the
Mid-Hudson Library System's million + titles as well as to SEAL, the Southeast
New York Access to Libraries, which includes the collections of area
universities and special libraries. Bibliographic instruction, including source
evaluation technique, is offered to every student during the term, and research
papers are mandatory in most courses as preparation for college-level
research. See our Research Guide and Library Forum for more!
