FAQs What if I miss the application deadline in February? Can I still apply? Some boarding schools fill completely by April 10th. Trinity-Pawling generally does not. If you haven't applied by the February deadline but are still interested in seeing whether there's space for September of that year, contact the Admission Office. We'll let you know if we're still reviewing applications. We go on Rolling Admission after April 10th, filling spaces as applications become complete until the school is completely full. The only way to find out if there's still space is to call us. How Do I Apply For Financial Aid? When you call to inquire about T-P, let us know that you'll be a financial aid candidate. We'll send you the forms when they become available around November of the year prior to that in which your son would start school. You fill out a financial disclosure form designed by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). Take a copy of the SSS form, send the original in to Princeton and forward the copy to us at T-P. As soon as possible after the turn of the year, get your taxes done. Your financial aid application becomes complete when we have a copy of your SSS form as well as a copy of your most recent tax return on file with us in Pawling. In order to be a candidate for financial aid in the first round of admission decisions that we make public on March 10th, we need your SSS form and tax return in our office no later than February 15th. How do I know whether Trinity-Pawling is right for me? The best way to answer that question is to come visit. Get a sense of our kids, our faculty and our facilities. Our informational material helps too, so read about us. But nothing takes the place of walking around campus and talking to the people who make up this community. Do you have programs for kids with learning disabilities? Trinity-Pawling has the specialized English Language Program for bright dyslexic boys . If you're interested, call us and we'll send you more information about it. One caution, though. Trinity-Pawling's program isn't one-size-fits-all. We know we can help a particular type of boy overcome difficulties with reading and writing, and that's what we do. To find out if you're one of those boys, you really need to contact us and have an in-depth conversation with one of our admission counselors. For more information about the English Language Program, please click here Do you offer ESL Programs? Trinity-Pawling no longer has an ESL class because it has found its long established English Language Program, which involves intensive reading and writing instruction, remarkably effective for building the English skills of international students. The tuition for the 2010-2011 school year is $45.000 for upper school boarders, $32,000for upper school day students, and $22,000 for middle schoolers. There are a few fees that aren't covered in the tuition: tuition insurance, laundry, incidental expenses. If parents set aside $2,500 a year to cover absolutely everything beyond tuition, they're playing it safe. Why a boys' school?Well, boys' schools work best for a particular type of boy: one who's bright but finds it difficult to focus on schoolwork when distracted by girls and the dating game. At Trinity-Pawling, boys don't have to choose between homework and their girlfriends; they just get what they need to do done. For a number of boys on our campus, though, being a single sex school simply isn't an issue. They just like the spirit, the intense sense of community and the down-to-earth feel that makes Trinity-Pawling unique. What does Trinity-Pawling's Middle School program offer?Trinity-Pawling's Middle School program is designed to offer an enriched program to the best and the brightest middle schoolers from the surrounding towns. It fills a niche that is more and more sought after: resources for bright and talented boys not getting the challenge for which they are looking in their local public school. Want more for your son? Give us a call and we'll describe our Middle School program in depth. When are decisions made? All applicants that have completed applications by the February 1st deadline will be mailed decision letters on March 10th. How do I submit an application to T-P? There are several ways to apply to Trinity-Pawling. You can call or e-mail the school and request an application packet. Once you receive the packet you can complete the application and mail it into the school. The second and easiest way to apply to the school is through the on-line application that is provided on our website on the Admissions page. Top
