Najae Brown Earns Top Honors

Najae Brown '13 has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year.  The cornerback from Mount Vernon, NY is the first University of New Haven player to earn this honor.  Being named Rookie of the Year is only one of the many distinctions for Brown; also being named First Team All NE-10 at cornerback and was selected to the NE-10 All Rookie Team.  Brown led New Haven with 77 tackles, 3 interceptions, and nine pass breakups which helped the defense to only giving up 24.8 points a game - good enough for third best in the conference.

Najae Brown helped Trinity-Pawling to a 5-3 season last year.  He led the offense at quarterback and also started at safety.  He was named to the All New England Team, as well as receiving the Offensive MVP Award at the Fall Sports Banquet.  Brown also lettered in Track and Field.

Congrats Najae!
