Soccer - 3rd vs. Taft School

Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Away

Date: October 14, 2017

Result:Loss
Score:1-6

Event Recap:

TP got on the board first when Taewan Kwon dribbled down the left side and beat a Taft defender. He then approach the onrushing Taft goalie and deftly pushed the ball underneath him into the lower left corner to put TP up 1-0 after only 10 minutes.

That advantage was short lived when Taft scored 7 minutes later and then twice more before the half to make it 3-1 for Taft.

In the second half TP battled valiantly with a team smaller in numbers and size than the Taft squad. Nolan MacLear and Jackson McAvoy played well at midfield while Hayden Peek and Declan O'Brien thwarted many Taft offensive thrusts. Taewan came close to scoring a couple more times and Christopher Devanny played the whole game at outside left forward. Mike Yan played his best game at right defense, and Lucas Hughes played another excellent game in goal with more than 30 saves.

However, Taft was too strong and put in three more goals in the second half for a 6-1 win.
