Admissions Overview
So you're interested in Trinity-Pawling? Terrific! We think you're thinking smart. Below, please find an overview of our Admission Office and how the process works.
Most boys start the process of applying to boarding school in the fall of the year before they go away. So, if you want to come to campus as a freshman in September, contact us sometime during the fall to set up an interview and a tour of the school.
When you call us, we ask you for some basic information: your name, the school you attend currently, your address, email address and telephone numbers and any background information you think is important-sports, grades, activities and such. Then we send you our viewbook-the school's main catalogue-so you can check us out in depth. If after reading our information you're even more interested, call us, and we'll set you up on campus with a tour and an interview.
Let's say you come and you like what you see. Then you apply. The viewbook has all the forms you need in the back. It even has a checklist so you can make sure you have all your bases covered. Get us the paperwork by February of the year in which you want to arrive, and you're all set. We contact you on March 10th to let you know whether we have a place for you.
If so, you have a month to decide whether you want to take us up on our invitation. We'll even ask you back to campus one last time to kick the tires before you have to make your final decision. By April 10th, everything's all set. Then, over the course of the summer, we drown you in information: who your roommate is, what you need to bring, forms to sign, blazer patches, etc. Sometime around the second week of September you arrive on campus for Opening Day. Congratulations! You're part of the T-P family.
