While the cost of a Trinity-Pawling education is significant, the value, our families believe, is greater. It is the responsibility of each family to contribute to their child's educational costs at the highest possible level based upon their individual economic situation. For those families who are unable to meet the full cost of tuition, financial assistance is available. Trinity-Pawling is committed to enrolling a talented and diverse group of young men representing a broad range of backgrounds.
Those applicants interested in applying for financial aid should check the appropriate box on the application. We ask that you complete a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) on the School and Student Service Application Processing Center's website between Nov. 1 and Jan. 15. The Trinity-Pawling code: 7750. To help us objectively assess what a family is able to contribute to its student(s) education expenses, we use School and Student Service which is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools (SSS By NAIS) as a trusted third party. The SSS analysis of a family's "Estimated Family Contribution (EFC)" is a critical component of our financial aid decision. However, it is just a start. To make our final financial aid award decisions, we use the SSS figures as the baseline for our own additional review, taking into consideration our total financial aid budget, other information we may have collected, our school’s policies and priorities, and the needs of our entire applicant pool. Due to circumstances like these, and others, our school may ask your family to contribute more or less to tuition than what is estimated on the SSS Family Report. This "How To" document is very helpful. Applications received after March 10 are considered as long as funds remain available. Decisions on financial aid awards accompany acceptances and enrollment contracts.
