Taft opened the scoring at 6:45 of the first period. Two minutes later T-P's Bryce Jurk (assisted by Chris Murphy) tallied. Two minutes later, Jurk (assisted by Julian Garritano) put T-P up 2-1 to end the period. Taft scored the only goal of the second period to tie the game 2-2. At 7:32 of the third period, Billy Bauckham (assisted by Sam Mark) put T-P ahead, but Taft tied the game with two minutes remaining in regulation time. With the game tied, T-P's fifth overtime of the season took place. With only 1:32 left in ot, Sam Mark tapped home the game winner (assisted by Jurk and Garritano). T-P's goaltender, Jack Margiotta, saved 26 of Taft's 29 shots.
