At this time, the School is not requiring vaccination against COVID-19 for students or employees.
However, unless otherwise prohibited by law, prior to the first day of school, the School reserves the right to require a student/employee to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. The School, in its sole discretion, may also require, prior to, or at any time during the school year, students to obtain additional COVID-19 vaccinations and to become fully vaccinated against influenza. The also School retains the right in its sole discretion to determine what constitutes “fully vaccinated” including, but not limited to requiring booster or additional shots for COVID-19 prior to or during the school year.
Reporting of Symptoms
Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms while on campus must immediately report to the Health and Wellness Center.
All members of the community are expected to be mindful of their responsibilities with regard to hygiene. All members of the community must abide by the following hygiene standards: wash and sanitize their hands frequently, especially before and after entering or leaving communal spaces such as classrooms, Cluett, or dorm common areas; and cover coughs and sneezes.
The School encourages all community members to be tested for COVID-19 if they develop cold or flu-like symptoms. Prior to returning to campus, after an extended leave, all students are encouraged to take a rapid COVID-19 antigen test to ensure their own health and safety, and the health and safety of their classmates when arriving on campus.
Faculty, staff, and students who are identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive are encouraged to take part in contact tracing testing. Depending on the severity of the community spread of COVID, the School reserves the right to require members of the community to be tested for COVID-19 and/or be subject to contact tracing protocols. The timing and frequency of the testing will be at the discretion of the School's Health and Wellness Center.
ImPACT Concussion Tests
Part of every student's yearly Magnus Health requirements include a baseline ImPACT test (Immediate Post-concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing). The Health and Wellness Center staff at Trinity-Pawling will refer to this baseline in the event that a student sustains a concussion during the upcoming school year.
STEP 1: Students, please use the link below to complete the online ImPACT test. You should allow at least 30 minutes to complete the test. Please take your time and complete the test to the best of your ability as it is an important baseline measurement. Please use your legal first name (no nicknames) when completing the test.
STEP 2: Once you complete the test, you will receive an ImPACT passport ID code. This can be found on your test completion confirmation. Please enter this 12 digit code into your Magnus account in the ImPACT baseline concussion testing requirement area, once you have completed the test AND entered the code this requirement will be completed.

At Trinity-Pawling, we are pleased to be utilizing an online/mobile app called Reach Student Life Management for all off-campus permissions and requests.
The Reach platform assists with off-campus requests, weekend permissions, overnight protocols, chapel and dorm check-ins, and student-faculty messaging. Both Day Students and Boarding Students will use Reach. Parents and guardians do not need a Reach login in order to approve off-campus permissions. All approvals will be done via automated emails, managed by the Reach system.
Students will be expected to initiate their own leave requests through the app. Adults involved (parents and relevant faculty members) will receive an automated email to approve or deny the request. A Reach request (or leave request) should be submitted by a student any time he plans to depart campus, including weekend leaves, college visits, appointments, and more.
How Reach Works
STEP 1: Students must download the Reach app on their mobile devices from their respective app store.
STEP 2: Students will log in to the Reach app using their Trinity-Pawling email credentials.
When submitting a Reach request on the mobile app, students will need to populate the request with departure and return times, transportation details, a few details on the reason for their departure (going home for weekend, special weekend, midweek leave, etc.) and contact information for those at their destination. With the information populated, students then submit their request. Parents and guardians will then receive an automated email with the details of their son’s request, at which point they will approve or deny the off-campus leave. Each off-campus request is then sent to the Dean of Students Office and the student’s advisor for final approval.
All of this information is also available in the Parent Portal.
