Philosophy
The overall goal of the Trinity-Pawling cross country program is to provide a supportive environment where young men can grow as student-athletes. Runners of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Each year we challenge the runners to be the one who "holds the rope" – the one that others can depend on when things get difficult. Our training programs are designed so that each runner can improve and learn the values of hard work and self discipline. It is the hope of the coaching staff that the runners learn to love running and that it becomes part of their life after they leave Trinity-Pawling.
League
Our cross country program competes in regular season meets against Founders League schools. The team also competes in both the Founders League and NEPSTA Division I Championship meets at the end of each season.
Coaching
The cross country coaching staff works with each runner to monitor his progress and support his improvement. Ultimately, success is defined by individual growth and a growing appreciation for the sport.
