Dear Parents,
I hope this letter finds you well. The Fall Term is winding down at Trinity-Pawling, and it has been so wonderful to have the boys back on campus. I have been impressed with their commitment to community health over the last few months. As we approach Thanksgiving, the willingness of all members of our community to follow the protocols to get us to this point has been one of the things for which I am most thankful.
In anticipation of your son's departure for Thanksgiving Vacation and Winter Break on Friday, November 20, I wanted to share with you our protocols. Unfortunately, we still cannot have visitors inside the dormitories. If you will be coming to campus to pick up your son, please pull up near his dormitory, let him know that you have arrived, and he can come out to meet you at your car. Please note that these same protocols will be in place if your son is departing earlier or later than Friday, November 20.
Your son should plan to bring anything he will need over break home with him; but he will not need to move everything from his room. Campus will not be open between Thanksgiving Vacation and the end of Winter Break, so students will not have access to their dorm rooms. Students are required to bring all necessary academic materials home with them or have access to duplicate resources at home. While we plan to fully open in January, there are scenarios that might delay this plan and it would be best to prepare for the possibility of temporary remote classes.
We all feel incredibly lucky to have had the Fall Term in person and we are looking forward to the Winter Projects and Global Collaborative Challenges beginning remotely after Thanksgiving Vacation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at dkeel@trinitypawling.org. Thank you for your continued support.
Take care and be well,
