Dear Day Student Parents,
I would like to begin by thanking you for providing your boys the opportunity to become boarding students for the Winter Term at Trinity-Pawling. I truly believe their in-person learning experience on campus was well worth the difficulties of packing clothes, gathering belongings, moving into a dormitory, and having a very limited visitation schedule. I hope your sons enjoyed their boarding experiences over the past several weeks, and perhaps some of them may even lean toward becoming full-time boarding students in the future. Ultimately, we could not have made this term as successful as it was without your support.
As the Winter Term is quickly coming to a close, we will need to coordinate times for families to empty their winter dorm rooms, as Trinity-Pawling will resume its traditional Day Student schedule in the Spring Term. While the boys may depart campus on Friday, March 5th, we have provided a Pick-A-Time link for those families who will require extra time to clean out their son's winter dorm room. The extra time slots will be available on March 6th and 7th and each time slot will only be for one hour. Alternatively, students may move their belongings out on March 5th, but once again, parents will not be able to enter the dorms on Friday, March 5th. Once dorm rooms are emptied, room keys may be left in the rooms. They will be collected by a member of our Facilities Team.
As a reminder, the first week of the Spring Term will be similar to that of the Winter Term, with a first week of remote classes. The dates are provided below for your planning purposes.
*Dependent Upon Return of Negative COVID-19 Test Results
Please note that all plans are subject to change based on New York State and national guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 protocols. As was the case during the Fall Term, the School also asks your assistance during the Spring Term in limiting your son's social interactions when he is not on campus. This would include avoiding participation in club sports or any other social activity where proper distancing and masking will not be the norm.
Once again, we would like to thank you for your support and flexibility through this process. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Dean of Students Josh Collins '95 at jcollins@trinitypawling.org or Dean of Residential Life Dutch Keel at dkeel@trinitypawling.org. We look forward to the Spring Term!
Sincerely,
Josh Collins '95 Dean of Students Trinity-Pawling School | 700 Route 22 | Pawling, NY 12564 | 845.855.3100 | www.trinitypawling.org © 2020 Trinity-Pawling School |
