December 6, 2021 Dear Parents, I am writing to let you know that we have had two students recently test positive for COVID-19, one day student and one boarding student. We have conducted all of the necessary contact tracing and have been testing those who have had close contact with these boys on a regular basis. All of these tests have been negative. Out of an abundance of caution, however, we will continue with this testing and expand the scope, if necessary. Both boys are in quarantine conditions and are doing well. I have reminded all of the students of the need to be vigilant with regard to our health and safety protocols. We have been fortunate to have limited our exposure to COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic, but it was inevitable that we would one day have a positive case on campus. Our protocols are multi-faceted and our preparation for this inevitability has been thorough. Unfortunately, I am sure that there will be other positive cases in the future. With nearly all of the community fully vaccinated, there is sound protection against significant illness, which is enormously reassuring and comforting. Sincerely, |
