SOUP CANS and SPLATTER PAINTING
Ned Reade's Art History class traveled to New York City last week to see the new exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, and then took the subway to the new Whitney Museum of American Art. The class has been studying American Art from 1945, the Abstract Expressionist period of the 1950's, and the Pop Art Movement so dominant in the 1960's.
Highlight's of the trip included seeing Pollock's "No. 1 1950" and Andy Warhol's Soup Cans.
