Student Spending + T-P Card Accounts (Due August 1)
Student Account Worksheet / T-P Card
Required for New Students
The T-P Card is a convenient, prepaid money management debit card account that allows your son to enjoy purchases at The School Store and The Cave, as well as access to cash. All students are required to have a T-P Card.
Setting up your son's T-P Card account can be completed in 2 easy steps:
- STEP 1: Complete the Student Account Worksheet.
- STEP 2: Submit your Required Initial Payment, based on your selections made on the Student Account Worksheet form.
MyKidsSpending Overview
MyKidsSpending is a safe and secure website where parents can view and manage their student’s T-P Card account activity at any time. Parents can view their student’s activity within 24 hours of transactions taking place. Those parents with more than one student at the School can use MyKidsSpending to manage all their students’ activity through one account.
Through the MyKidsSpending website, parents may deposit funds into their son’s account using a credit card or electronic check; deposits will be synced with the School in about 5-10 minutes. MyKidsSpending is only able to accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover at this time.
Viewing Online
One of the benefits of using MyKidsSpending is the ability to view your son’s account at any time. Logging in and selecting "Summary" will bring you to a new page that has two calendars. Select a specific date on each calendar and select "Update." You will now be able to see all charges made during the selected time period. If you wish to change the time period selected, change the selected dates on the calendar and select "Update" once more.
Adding Money
Through MyKidsSpending, you can deposit by either credit card or electronic check online. You can also set up a checking account to fund your son’s debit balance automatically when the balance gets low. You will receive an email notification two days prior to the deposit taking place; upon the deposit completion, you will receive a second notification email with a statement of all spending since the last funding.
Transaction Fees
MyKidsSpending charges a convenience fee for deposits through their site. Currently, there is a 4% convenience charge for all credit card transactions, with a minimum charge of $3.00. The convenience charge for an electronic check deposit is 75 cents plus 1% of the total deposited. For example, a deposit of $100.00, the fee would be $1.75. There is a $25.00 charge for any returned payment.

Tuition Refund Insurance + Waiver Form (Due August 31)
Tuition Refund Insurance Overview
(2024-2025)
Trinity-Pawling School offers Tuition Refund Insurance (TRI) as a means to insure your annual financial obligation under the terms of the enrollment contract. Students are enrolled for the full academic year and no adjustment of annual charges can be made by the School for absences, withdrawal, or dismissal. The School has expenses such as facility maintenance and faculty salaries. In order to plan and maintain these services for the year, it is essential that the annual income from tuition charges be stabilized.
The plan is fully described in this Tuition Refund Insurance brochure.
This insurance will provide an allowance of tuition charges in the event of absence or withdrawal of a student for injury or sickness (65% of unused tuition), as well as mental health (50% of unused tuition) reasons, but also in the event of withdrawal for other reasons or dismissal (50% of unused tuition) by the School (annual tuition charges, both prepaid and due are insured).
Premium
The premium for the TRI is currently 2.85% of tuition. You must include the Center for Learning Achievement Program fees, if the student is enrolled in this program.
Enrollment
All students are automatically enrolled in TRI when a signed contract is received by the School. The premium appears on the first tuition statement and you have an opportunity to waive coverage if not desired. In light of the no refund or cancellation enrollment terms, we strongly recommend that all parents participate in this plan.
Waiver Form
If you do not wish to purchase Tuition Refund Insurance, you must submit the waiver form below to the Student Accounts Office no later than September 1, 2024. Please note that waivers from a prior year will not apply to the 2024-2025 school year.
International and post-graduate students must have their tuition paid in full by September 1 in order to decline Tuition Refund Insurance. A student will automatically be re-enrolled if the tuition payment deadline is not met.

Technology
Required Hardware/Software
Students and parents, as you plan to purchase a laptop, tablet, or other device for academic purposes, below are helpful guidelines and hardware/software requirements.
- Windows or Mac OSX
Minimum Requirements for Computers
- Windows 11 or Mac System
- Intel Core i5 (or better)
- 8 GB Memory (or better)
- 256 GB SSD Hard Drive (it is preferred to go with a 512 GB SSD drive, but a 256 would work, anything lower than 256 will result in the computer constantly running out of storage space).
- Video Card is at your discretion
Anti-Virus Software - PC Computers Only: All students must have Windows Defender working on their PC computers. This program is already on all computers that have Windows 11 or later. If you have purchased a different anti-virus program, it must be valid until the end of the school year. The School will help to make sure Windows Defender is working. (Mac laptops are not required to have anti-virus software installed at this time.)

Off-Campus Requests + Using Reach
Off-Campus Requests
At Trinity-Pawling, we are pleased to be utilizing an online/mobile app called Reach Student Life Management for all off-campus permissions and requests.
The Reach platform assists with off-campus requests, weekend permissions, overnight protocols, chapel and dorm check-ins, and student-faculty messaging. Both Day Students and Boarding Students will use Reach. Parents and guardians do not need a Reach login in order to approve off-campus permissions. All approvals will be done via automated emails, managed by the Reach system.
Students will be expected to initiate their own leave requests through the app. Adults involved (parents and relevant faculty members) will receive an automated email to approve or deny the request. A Reach request (or leave request) should be submitted by a student any time he plans to depart campus, including weekend leaves, college visits, appointments, and more.
How Reach Works
STEP 1: Students must download the Reach Student Life Management app on their mobile devices from their respective app store.
Apple App Store / Google Play Store
STEP 2: Open the app and students will need to search for the school name “Trinity-Pawling School”
STEP 3: Students will log in to the Reach app using their Trinity-Pawling email credentials (this option is found at the bottom of the page).
New Students, if you have not yet received your Trinity-Pawling email account, please reach out to Bryan Turner at bturner@trinitypawling.org.
Helpful Details:
When submitting a Reach request on the mobile app, students will need to populate the request with departure and return times, transportation details, a few details on the reason for their departure (going home for weekend, special weekend, midweek leave, etc.) and contact information for those at their destination. With the information populated, students then submit their request. Parents and guardians will then receive an automated email with the details of their son’s request, at which point they will approve or deny the off-campus leave. Each off-campus request is then sent to the Dean of Students Office and the student’s advisor for final approval.
