Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Away

Date: October 10, 2018

Result:Loss
Score:1-8

Event Recap:
The Thirds Soccer team played a spirited game against Brunswick but came out on the losing end 1-8. The lone score came in the first half when Kyle Stober took a corner kick and fired it into the 6 yard box in front of the net. Eduardo Ancona put out his foot and deflected the ball into the twines past a stunned Bruins defense. Henry Hopkins played valiantly in goal in the first half, but Brunswick scored five times. Christian Strader played in the goal for the second half and made several diving saves of loose balls that came into the 18 yard box. At one point he took a kick to his ribs, and the referee stopped the game to see if he was ok. Christian insisted on staying and finished the game. Alex Anastos, Davvid O'Keefe, and Nicholas Philllips played well for the PRIDE on defense while Stober, Ancona, Cam Grillo, Matt Romeo, and Griffin Fleur pushed the ball through the Brunswick defense only to have shots eventually go wide. Midfielders Whit Hazlewood, Jake Aloi, Mason Hughes, and Marcus Duell played energetically up and down the pitch. The team faces Taft on Parents Weekend.
