Event Recap:

The Pride welcomed the Salisbury Scarlet Knights on a sparkling day. It was an even battle all afternoon, as the boys played spirited and clean hockey.

The Pride took a first period lead, as Tyler Woods roofed a nice tally at 10:11 of the frame to give the Pride a 1-0 lead. Salisbury evened things up at 4:58 to knot it at 1-1. Shjon Whitehead broke the tie at 2:46 on a nice feed from Griffin Moore, giving the Pride some momentum heading into the second period with a 2-1 lead.

In the second frame the Pride expanded their lead to 3-1 as Will DePalma intercepted a D to D pass and slid a nice shot past the Sarum tender at the 10:42 mark. Salisbury answered quickly with a marker of their own at 9:46 to make it 3-2. The teams battled effectively, but the goaltenders denied all comers to conclude the period.

Salisbury opened the Third Period effectively, knotting the game 3-3 at 12:32. From that point, both teams exerted immense pressure on the goaltenders, who would not be solved - and the game went to OT.

The overtime witnessed frenetic action, as each squad challenged the goalies with three quality shots. The net minders prevailed and the game concluded in a 3-3 tie. The JV Pride travel to Avon Saturday for a 2:30 tilt.
