Football - Lower vs. Canterbury School

Event Type: Regular

Date: October 9, 2017

Event Recap:

The Pride traveled to Canterbury Monday to play what proved to be a gritty game in the rain.  The wet ball gave us trouble with our exchanges early in the game and passing proved to be a challenge so the Pride let up an early score followed by a safety to fall down 10-0.  Things would continue to go Canterbury’s way for the remainder of the quarter and the Pride found themselves down 18-0 at the half.  TP was able to make some adjustments at the half and the defense came out looking rejuvenated.  Givanni Flaccavento ‘21 had an interception and also picked off a pitch two give the Pride some much needed momentum and Budd Desir ‘20 was able to put the Pride on the board with an impressive run down the left sideline.  Eric Suits ‘20 fought hard at quarterback all game and made a lot of tough plays while Tom Lin ‘19 flashed a lot of potential in his first real football game ever but TP ultimately lost 30-6.  The Pride will look to bounce back Wednesday when they travel to Brunswick to play the Bruins.
