The purpose of the music program at Trinity-Pawling is to expose all students to a wide range of performing arts. This includes participation, attendance and appreciation.
Middle School Choir
The entire middle school participates in three concerts during the academic year. The music they sing focuses on two part songs and emphasis is placed on folk songs and spirituals. The class is energetic and fun. Basic musicianship is taught, but the primary purpose of the class is to let the boys have fun performing. More than half the middle school boys go on to participate in upper school choir.
Middle School Band
Boys in the middle school have the opportunity to join the upper school jazz band. This group accommodates boys of all abilities and meets twice a week after dinner. They perform at least three times during the academic year. Private lessons are available through the band instructor.
