Focus on Art: Childhood Rooms

Students in the Foundation Art class at Trinity-Pawling were challenged to recreate their childhood rooms on paper. Not only did they need to accurately create the illusion of depth using one-point perspective, but they also needed to create a "museum of their childhood" by populating the room with significant objects from their past. The strongest images during the students' 2-5 minute "tour" presentations of the rooms, were the drawings that had both a strong sense of three dimensional space as well as a cascade of objects associated with humorous or significant childhood memories.
