School Dress
“Blues and Grays”

To be worn to graduation, formal chapel services, some school trips, and other special events, also known on campus as "Blues and Grays".

• Blue blazer with School’s crest (Blazer may be purchased at any men’s clothing store; for new students, the crest will be mailed in August.)                   
• Charcoal gray dress slacks worn with belt and shirt tails tucked in                  
• White dress shirt                  
• Tie                 
• Leather dress shoes
   

Class Dress

To be worn to chapel services when not in “Blues and Grays”, off campus academic trips, and when otherwise announced.

• Sport coat or blazer                 
• Suitable slacks, worn with a belt
  • Work pants, cargo pants, denim jeans, athletic pants, sweat pants, or baggy trousers are not permitted.
  • Bermuda length shorts are permitted in the months of September and May. 
  • “Cutoffs” shorts, work shorts, cargo shorts, denim shorts, painter’s shorts, athletic shorts, or baggy shorts are not permitted. 
  • Pants and shorts are worn at the waist and with a belt.
• Dress shirt (shirts may be of any color with long or short sleeves) with shirt tails tucked in 
• Necktie (regular or bow) 
• Shoes, in good condition, which could include sneakers
  • Boots are permitted when the weather dictates

Please note that hooded sweatshirts are not permitted in Class Dress.
 

Informal Class Dress

To be worn on class days when chapel does not meet and during most trips off campus, including trips to town.

• Polo, sport, or dress shirt that is tucked in
  • Sweater or three-quarter zip may be worn over a shirt.
  • T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts are not permitted.   
• Pants in good condition, worn with a belt
  • Denim jeans are not permitted.
  • Bermuda length shorts are allowed during classes in September and May. 
• Shoes, in good condition, which could include sneakers
  • Open-toe footwear (sandals, flip flops, etc.) is not permitted.
     

Neat & Casual

Worn at other times not listed above, including dinners Monday-Saturday; Saturday lunch; and trips from School for vacations and weekends.

Please note that athletic attire is not appropriate. General appearance should be neat and clean.

• Collared sports shirt or sweater — long shirt tails must be tucked in. 
  • T-shirts are not permitted.
  • Hooded sweatshirts ARE allowed.
• Pants must be in good condition and may include denim jeans or Bermuda length shorts.
• Shoes, in good condition, which could include sneakers, sandals, or flip flops.
